Fresh cocoa pods are the fruit of the Theobroma cacao tree, harvested directly when they reach full maturity indicated by the pod turning yellow, orange, or red. Each pod contains 20 to 50 beans wrapped in a sweet white pulp. Our dark chocolate bars contain one ingredient: cocoa beans. There is no added sugar, milk, emulsifier or flavouring. The beans are roasted, ground and refined into a smooth mass, then tempered and moulded into 100 g bars with a clean snap and an intense, deep cocoa taste. The product is laboratory tested by Centre Pasteur and packed 24 bars per carton for wholesale and retail.
